Do what is right by your children.

When parents get divorced and are involved in child custody battles they will sometimes fail to do what is right by their children as they are so focused on gaining custody.

If you are involved in a child custody battle then make sure you do everything in your power to do what is right by your children.

Dr. Ira Turkat states in one of his articles that “attorneys who litigate child custody cases are accustomed to hearing clients claim is that their children are being turned against them by the other parent”. In some cases this is true but in some cases it is a false accusation, and this is not the kind of role modelling that you want your children to see. So avoid making false accusations in court.

Avoid these allegations unless you truly feel that the other parent is turning your children against you. By avoiding false allegations you are allowing the court to see what is best for your children and you allow them to make an educated decision.

By telling the truth, and only the truth, in your custody battle then you are doing right by your children. You must have faith that if you are the right parent for the job then the court will rule in your favour.
